SUMMARY: Marketing and Sales Director for a national non-profit organization based in Irving, Texas. The organization is a member based driven organization with over 16,500 members nationwide with expected growth to double in the next two years. The organization seeks an individual to be responsible for developing and leading the organizations sales and marketing efforts. They will be responsible for creating, monitoring and analyzing the sales and marketing strategic plan and measuring day to day activity against internal goals. The position requires an experienced, multi-talented, creative, energetic and highly motivated individual that can drive all facets of marketing/sales and propel the organization to new heights. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Direct and coordinate company sales and marketing functions and identify new customers for products and services to ensure both revenue and membership growth ? Develop, coordinate and evaluate sales methodology and effectiveness ? Research and develop strategies around direct marketing, building brand awareness, the utilization of social media and designing and implementing email marketing campaigns. ? Develop and manage sales and marketing forecasts, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets ? Create, plan, execute press releases and marketing/ advertising campaigns ? Participate in the development of new project proposals ? Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures ? Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company and to ensure positive relations with partners, vendors and distributors ? Create and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations ? Work with department managers and team members to develop five year and ten year sales and marketing business plans for the organization ? Serve on planning committees ? Recruit, train, supervises, and evaluates department staff KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts. ? Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills ? Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects ? Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
? This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in Marketing and seven years of experience in a senior-level sales and/or marketing position ? Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule Skills
Minimum qualifications: Undergraduate degree 7+ years of marketing/sales experience Strong writing skills ? both journalistic and creative Strong creative skills Experience listening to and supporting a sales team Great work ethic
