Useless Food Gadgets, Father's Day Version (PHOTOS)

There are a tons of Father's Day gift guides out there. And, those guides offer a lot of great ideas for dad. But with every great idea comes a few clunkers as well. Below, some food-related gifts we recommend you don't get, for the sake of your dignity and your father's.

  • Grill Sergeant BBQ Apron

Even the model in this ad seems to be forcing a smile. Clearly, he wanted to be doing underwear modeling and instead got a giant <a href="http://www.skymall.com/shopping/detail.htm?pid=204306705&c=10525" target="_hplink">camo-apron</a> thrown on him. Between all of those beer cans and condiments, it looks pretty heavy too.

  • Armadillo Beverage Holder

It's a struggle to come up with a practical use for this. Unless you have some really kleptomaniacal dinner guests, we're not sure why you need an <a href="http://www.skymall.com/shopping/detail.htm?pid=204092291&c=10475" target="_hplink">armadillo to protect your beer</a>.

  • Tire Bowl

Is your dad a car lover? Great -- get him some actual tires rather than this <a href="http://www.skymall.com/shopping/detail.htm?pid=102968340&c=10475" target="_hplink">frighteningly ugly bowl</a>.

  • BOB Ice Cube Tray

SkyMall's writer was trying hard with this one. We'll let <a href="http://www.skymall.com/shopping/detail.htm?pid=204076867&c=10475" target="_hplink">their description</a> say it all: <blockquote>Even if your name's not Bob, your ice cubes "bob" in your drink. And if your name is Bob? Woah. Personalized ice cubes bobbing in your drink.</blockquote>

  • Swashbuckling Sword

    <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Dci-Bbq-Sword-For-Grilling/dp/B001RQ18DY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339176158&sr=8-1" target="_hplink">Swords</a> + BBQ = potential for disaster.

  • Pigs-In-A-Blanket-Maker

Last time we checked, <a href="http://www.walmart.com/ip/Nostalgia-Electrics-Pigs-in-Blankets-Maker/17242567" target="_hplink">these</a> cooked just fine in an oven.

  • I Love Farting Mug

Bonus: the mug actually <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Big-Mouth-Toys-Talking-Farting/dp/B005QOW364" target="_hplink">"farts" when you lift it up</a>. We're not sure if that's better or worse than this <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Big-Mouth-Toys-The-Butt/dp/B004MZTH1W/ref=pd_sim_sbs_k_3" target="_hplink">"butt" mug</a>.

  • Big Boy BBQ Skewer

    <a href="http://www.amazon.com/OMG-70-254-Big-Boy-Skewer/dp/B001EB4I48/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1339420124&sr=1-1" target="_hplink">So not okay.</a>
